Review of Milgram's Experiment about Obedience in People

The Milgram Experiment
Stanley Milgram conducted his research on obedience in the 1960s. The findings of his research are still relevant.

•    Read pages 226–229, "The Milgram Experiments." Write a two-page report based on the following topics with respect to Milgram's research:
o    Social Influence
o    Obedience to authority
o    Ethics
•    On page 229, you will see that Milgram was "severely criticized for exposing participants to psychological distress, embarrassment, and loss of dignity." Do you think the experiment was ethical? Why or why not? Is this an experiment you would have agreed to participate in? Why or why not?

The question belongs to Sociology and it is an essay on the Stanley Milgram’s experiment conducted in 1960s. The experiment is about obedience in people. The experiment was to document the behaviour and reactions of people who were under authority asked to do things which were against their conscience. The solution covers this in much detail.

Hello Allison,I love the 2nd image that you did! I also, had never heard of SumoPaint, is something that I will have to exolpre a bit! I understand completely the 52 (or so) youtube videos that you probably watched. Sometimes they have what you want, sometimes they don't! However, it is always satisfying when you are able to produce something that you have taught yourself. Great job!Debra 0 likes
