  1. Consider an ac signal applied to a series R-L circuit. Draw a phasor diagram showing the voltage across the resistance, the voltage across the inductance and the resultant circuit voltage.
  2. From the above result derive the power triangle
  3. Indicate on the diagram, true power P, reactive power Q, and Apparent power S.
  4. From the power triangle define power factor.
