Compare between two Isothermal CSTRs for Liquid Phase Reaction

Two different isothermal CSTRs are used for a 1st order liquid phase reaction. Both operate at the same temperature and the same inlet volumetric feed rate and concentration. Conversion is 90% in reactor 1 and 20% in reactor 2. Estimate how the volume of reactor 1 compares to that of reactor 2.

a). V1 = 36V2
b). V1 = 9V2
c). V1 = 4.5V2
d). V1 = 2V2

The question belongs to Chemical Engineering and it is about liquid phase reaction in two reactors. The conversion percentage of two reactors has been given and we have estimate the difference between the two reactors.

Hello Allison,I love the 2nd image that you did! I also, had never heard of SumoPaint, is something that I will have to exolpre a bit! I understand completely the 52 (or so) youtube videos that you probably watched. Sometimes they have what you want, sometimes they don't! However, it is always satisfying when you are able to produce something that you have taught yourself. Great job!Debra 0 likes
