Calculate Resistance And Reactance In Secondary Winding

A 10Kva, 2000/400 volts,50Hz,single-phase transformer supplies full load at a power factor of 0.8 lagging. The resistance of the primary winding are 5.5Ω and 12Ω respectively. The resistance and reactance of the secondary winding are 0.2Ω and 0.5Ω respectively. The iron loss of the transformer is 110 watts. Calculate:

  • The equivalent resistance and equivalent reactance referred to the secondary winding.
  • The full-load voltage regulation of the transformer.
  • The full-load efficiency of the transformer

The question belongs to Electrical Engineering and it discusses about calculating equivalent resistance and reactance in secondary winding, full load voltage regulation and efficiency of transformer.

Hello Allison,I love the 2nd image that you did! I also, had never heard of SumoPaint, is something that I will have to exolpre a bit! I understand completely the 52 (or so) youtube videos that you probably watched. Sometimes they have what you want, sometimes they don't! However, it is always satisfying when you are able to produce something that you have taught yourself. Great job!Debra 0 likes
